The problems we see every week
Most patients arrive with one of these. Each one is diagnosed before it is treated — with a proper exam, and on-site X-ray when the spine needs to be seen rather than guessed at.
- Low back pain
- The single most common reason patients walk through the door. Causes range from a locked-up joint or muscle strain to a disc that has begun to bulge. The exam sorts out which, because the three are treated differently.
- Sciatica
- Pain that travels from the low back into the buttock and down the leg, often with numbness or pins and needles. It is a symptom of nerve irritation, not a diagnosis in itself — usually a disc or a narrowed opening where the nerve exits the spine.
- Neck pain and stiffness
- Frequently posture-driven: hours at a laptop, a phone held low, or sleeping awkwardly. Gentle adjustment restores the motion the joints have lost, and the muscles around them stop guarding.
- Tension headaches
- Headaches that start at the base of the skull and wrap forward are often coming from the neck rather than the head. Treating the neck is what settles them.
- Herniated and degenerative discs
- Where non-surgical spinal decompression does its work. VAX-D and SpineMed apply controlled, computer-managed tension that lowers pressure inside the disc, which is what makes room for the nerve.
- Auto accident injuries
- Whiplash and soft-tissue injury after a crash, including the insurance paperwork. Florida’s PIP coverage requires you to be seen within 14 days of the accident, so this is one to call about promptly.
- Work injuries
- Lifting injuries, repetitive strain and falls, handled through workers’ compensation where it applies.
- Sports and everyday strains
- Golf, tennis, pickleball, gardening and the lift that seemed fine at the time. These respond quickly when they are caught early.
If chiropractic is not the answer, we will say so. Some conditions belong with a different kind of doctor, and a straight answer on day one is worth more than a course of care that was never going to work. That has been the rule here for 35 years.
